HAFFORD SHOW & SHINE/BARBEQUE

On Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 Supreme Motorcycle & Auto Service and Lupus SK jointly held the Hafford Show & Shine/Barbeque.

Lupus SK volunteers ran tables for information, Silent Auction, 50/50 ticket sales, sale of Rebacca Bauers copper crafts and Judy Willeys gemstone bracelets. Interesting and unique items were offered for bid at Silent Auction, such as: solar lantern, cutlery metal sculpture, local coin jewelry, wooden handmade pen, amongst others.

At least nine vendors tables offered a variety of items including artwork (Lois Hintgten), specialty embroidered fabric crafts (Nettie Cherniatenski), clothing (Ann van der Wal), raffle tickets (North Battleford Canadian Legion of Riders) and more. In the barbeque area Mrs. Gall and her assistant, Christy Gonda barbequed over 400 tasty homemade elk burgers! Thanks, Ladies! In the Show & Shine, CONGRATULATIONS to Don Keir of Saskatoon, First Place winner in the auto category. Also CONGRATULATIONS to Don Stokes for the First Place win with his bike.

This was a FIRST for Lupus SK – holding a joint, day long, open-air event in a rural community. We sincerely thank Heather Mills-Dale and her husband, Larry Dale for all their time, effort and work which they devoted to this event. Their business, Supreme Motorcycle and Auto Service generously donated half of the proceeds from the Show & Shine registration and from the barbecue to Lupus SK. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

That means a large portion of the funds raised go towards the goals in our mission statement, to provide support for those affected by lupus through understanding, education, public awareness and research. A small amount only, is used for administration. That also means that our volunteers are indispensable! Lupus SK would not exist without volunteers. That is why we need you to please consider joining our team as a volunteer.

New volunteers are always welcome and there are many ways to become involved. Let us know what your talents and interests are and we will find just the right spot for you. We have a lot of fun, we feel connected and the accomplishments are very worthwhile.
